Roberts highlights sustainability at Packaging Innovations
At this year’s Packaging Innovations, sustainability will take center stage. Coca-Cola, Aveda and Britvic are just some of the global brands set to put sustainability firmly in the spotlight as they take to the Ecopack Stage as part of this year’s exhibition at the NEC Birmingham, 26-27 February.
But it’s not just the big brands which are shining a light on sustainability, but across the supply chain as packaging specialists and brand owners seek packaging materials with higher environmental credentials.
Meeting that need, Roberts Metal Packaging will be showcasing its entire aluminium and tinplate collection including screwcaps and containers, alongside the Softline and Softline Extreme range.
Metal is already the ideal material for the circular economy because of its special designation as a permanently available material, which means it can be recycled again and again with no loss of quality.
Metal packaging has the highest recycling rate across Europe than any other form of material – up to 80 per cent for steel and 74.5 per cent for aluminium. Additionally, it is estimated that 80 per cent of all metal ever produced is still in circulation today.
